Blake Garvey, Love Rat, Nixes Hopes He’ll Appear On ‘Bachelor In Paradise’

Since rumours started swirling of the now-confirmed Bachelor in Paradise – the spin-off to The Bachelor that throws former faves and villains in a huge tropical villa together somewhere, like a glam lab experiment – fans have been speculating who will return.

Unfortunately, that now doesn’t seem to include “love rat” Blake Garvey, the main dude in Season 2 who became the ultimate villain after proposing to Sam Frost and almost immediately changing his mind. Oh Blake. None of us were rooting for you, but c’mooooon.

In a Facebook status update, he wrote:

“No way, no how, no chance am I going on Bachelors [sic] in Paradise. That is all.”

The former Bachelor has fallen out of the media limelight, after splitting from third runner up Louise Pillidge early last year. We were half hoping for a Blake / Louise reunion on BiP, and maybe a comment on the frankly insane breakup photoshoot they staged with New Idea.

Maybe we’ll never know how they felt about looking like the two biggest morons in Australia. Still. I bet the pay was good.

Elsewhere, Season 4 fan fave Nikki Gogan hasn’t totally ruled out an appearance on BiP. She refused to shut down speculation when asked by the Daily Telegraph to comment, there’s a smidgeon of hope, y’know?

“I am not going to comment,” she said, also refusing to answer other questions about who she’d like to see on the show. Fair enough.

Names believed to be in the mix are Jake Ellis and Jen Hawke (the pair have hooked up in the past), as well as Keira Maguire and Michael Turnbull. None of that lot are commenting, either.

We have no word yet on when BiP will be airing, only that it’s “soon”. Not soon enough, imo.
