Jimmy Kimmel Had People Weigh In On The “Crisis In Wakanda” And Oh Boy

Should the United States be involved in the current crisis in Wakanda? Is Donald Trump just inflaming matters by getting into a Twitter war with King T’Challa? Should the small African nation be forced to share its precious stocks of vibranium?

Fortunately, these and other questions do not need answering, as Wakanda is an entirely bloody fictional place, the setting of Marvel‘s current blockbuster Black Panther. Oh boy, that still does not prevent people from having some very strong opinions on the matter, though.

This week, Jimmy Kimmel sent his Lie Witness News team onto the streets of Los Angeles to gauge public opinion on Wakanda, and as ever, it’s just a little worrisome to think that this many people are willing to weigh in on a fictional crisis in a fictional nation.

To be fair, some of these people may not have seen Black Panther, but a heap of others have – prior to this weekend, the film had pulled in $292 million in its first week of release in North America and $520 million worldwide, the highest first-week gross of any Marvel Cinematic Universe film so far.
