In a humongous YES, adored ’90s queen Alicia Silverstone has joined the cast of Netflix’s live-action The Baby-Sitters Club.

The Clueless icon will star as Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, the mother of Kristy Thomas. Mark Feuerstein, the bloke from that random medical drama Royal Pains, will play Watson Brewer, Elizabeth’s love-interest.

Earlier this year, Netflix confirmed the reboot was in the works as a 10-episode project. GLOW‘s Rachel Shukert will serve as showrunner with Broad City director Lucia Anielle on board as director / executive producer. Lucy Kitada will also executive produce the series, and author Martin will be a producer.

It has been a while so if you’re blanking, The Baby-Sitters Club is a series of elite novels by Ann M. Martin that were turned into a 13-episode series back in 1990. There was also that move in 1995, that I don’t really remember but I’m 10/10 sure that was a thing. ANYWHO, the Netflix adaptation will see the return of your faves Mary Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill, Dawn Schafer, and Kristy to the familiar town of Stoneybrook.

There’s yet to be an official release date but we’ll keep you in the loop.

But speaking of reboots and Alicia Silverstone, there’s also a Clueless reboot in the works. Yes, really. It’s still early days for the project but the last thing we heard is that Marquita Robinson  – writer and story editor on GLOW – will pen the script. And, Girls Trip‘s Tracy Oliver will produce.

While we wait for more news re: The Baby-Sitters Club / the Clueless remake, you can watch the OG Clueless on Netflix now.
