The fresh trailer for Avengers: Endgame has arrived into our mortal realm, showcasing a brave new perspective on Marvel‘s key franchise. Gone are Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and all of the others turned to dust at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. In their place: Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Sad Boy Iron Man (sad boy Robert Downey Jr.), and one absolutely spectacular mullet.
That’s the hair and make-up Oscar on lock – but 80s hairstyles aren’t the only throwbacks present in the trailer.

Viewers will notice the clip harkens back to the foundational films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, heralding an end to this particular cycle of the franchise. We already knew that, given the film’s title and the numerous comments on the matter from the film’s directorial duo, the Russo brothers, but hey – we haven’t seen the concept of finality rendered in emotionally manipulative black-and-white until now.
Avengers: Endgame hits Aussie cinemas on April 24. Feel free to shave yourself a mullet before then, though.
