Netflix Asked & Aus Answered With Mass “Coolcoolcool” Like Jake Peralta Day

Today, Friday September 28, something beautiful –  no, something other-worldly took place. At exactly 12pm, the people of Australia paused and from deep within unleashed a chorus of Jake Peralta‘s “Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool” upon the nation for one whole minute. Lives were changed, breaths were short but most importantly, the word ‘cool’ was thoroughly overused.

Synchronised Nationawide ‘coolcoolcool’ Like Jake Peralta Day was created in honour of the arrival of Brooklyn Nine-Nine season five on Netflix.

On the Facebook page alone, 11,000 people pledged their name to the day while another 25,000 marked their interest.

Obviously, with an event so important Netflix were kind enough to give everyone a signed note from our beloved Captain Raymond ‘Velvet Thunder’ Holt which would excuse yourselves from the working day to both binge the season/coolcoolcoolcool it up.

No doubt, and according to the synchronised nationwide ‘coolcoolcool’ like Jake Peralta Facebook page, a large number of Aussie B99 fans took up the challenge.

John Harris and his mates may have lost the key to their car on a road trip but that didn’t stop them from performing the ol’ “cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, no doubt”.

NOINE, NOINE.

I can’t quite pinpoint why but I’m CRYING.

Shout out to Power FM Bega Bay!

DEDICATION.

THIS ONE.

And finally my fave by Maria Larisma – I, personally, will be falling asleep to this beautiful rendition tonight and for the rest of my life.

NOINE NOINE.

There are a ton more videos in the Facebook event so head on over for some wholesome coolcoolcools.

It brings me great pleasure to write Brooklyn Nine-Nine season five is available on Netflix, now.
