Cure Your ‘Infinity War’ Hangover With The New ‘Ant-Man & The Wasp’ Trailer

Still got the jitters from Infinity War? Well, here’s a gentle salve for you. The latest trailer for Ant-Man & The Wasp is here, and it’s absolutely a continuation of the ‘fun hijinks’ mode of Marvel movies they’ve been pursuing for the past few iterations.

As you might recall, Paul Rudd‘s Ant-Man didn’t show up in Infinity War despite the fact people vaguely anticipated he would, suggesting that he was probably swanning off somewhere while the entire universe was being endangered. Presumably Ant-Man & the Wasp takes place either just before or concurrent to Infinity War.

Here’s the trailer! You’ll be glad to know Michael Peña is very much back in the fold.

It looks like they’re really leaning into the Ant-Man series being a high-energy, comedic franchise within the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s also interesting that he’s getting multiple films, and is yet to appear in an Avengers team-up film – unless you could Captain America: Civil War which was basically Avengers 2.5.

But it looks like fun anyway. It hits theatres on July 6.
