‘GoT’ Dude Alfie Allen Joins The Cast Of Taika Waititi’s ‘Jojo Rabbit’

Game of Thrones star Alfie Allen is the latest actor to join the epic ranks of Taika Waititi’s World War II satire, Jojo Rabbit. The film, which Waititi says “is going to piss off a lot of racists”, is about an awkward and naive German lad, Jojo Betzler, who wants to be a big ol’ Nazi when he grows up.

The film is directed and co-written by Waititi and will introduce Roman Griffin Davis into the spotlight as young Jojo.

Misunderstood by his anti-Nazi single mother (Scarlett Johansson) and unsure of his place in Nazi Germany, Jojo has only one person to turn to – his imaginary friend, Hitler. If you didn’t know already, Waititi plays the dictator.

Being that this is set smack bang during Nazi Germany, you can expect versions of a Hitler Youth camp and whatnot. Academy Award Winner Sam Rockwell plays Captain Klenzendorf of the aforementioned youth camp and Rebel Wilson stars as a camp instructor.

After joining a Hitler Youth camp, Jojo’s dreams of being a Nazi kick off until he finds out his anti-Nazi mama is hiding a Jewish girl named Elsa Korr (Thomasin McKenzie) in their home.

Filming is currently taking place around Prague, Czech Republic and things are looking absolutely spicy:

Anyway, Allen (unlucky-but-still-a-dipshit Theon Greyjoy in GoT) has been cast as Finkle in the dark comedy. As per DeadlineFinkle is second in command to Captain Klenzendorf at the youth camp. I’m sure Allen’s a top bloke in real life but his incredibly punchable face shall serve him well as a Nazi.

Fox Searchlight have yet to unleash an official release date for the film but we’ll keep you updated.

Meanwhile, Allen has a new flick coming out by the name of Predator. The gorey action film will land in cinemas September 14.
