We didn’t think this day would ever come, but Adventure Time is wrapping up. And, in true ‘hate to see you go, love to see you walk away’ form, Cartoon Network have dropped the trailer for the series’s epic final episodes.
After 10 seasons, the show is going out with a bang with “The Ultimate Adventure“, a massive 44 minute episode. In the trailer, we see the rumblings of the Great Gum War, which will see Princess Bubblegum lead an army against her evil uncle Gumbald. Drammaaaa bomb!
We’ve known things were wrapping up for a while now: Cartoon Network confirmed this season would be the last back in 2016. According to head writer Kent Osborne, that’s given them a lot of time to work out the perfect ending.
No pressure, but if we don’t finally see some confirmation that Princess Bubblegum & Marceline once dated, there will be riots.
There’s no official air-date yet, but most fans reckon we’ll have to wait a little while longer. The show drops seasons in blocs of three-four eps every couple of months – if that continues, we can expect this in June or July.
