We saw a pretty significant boilover in the Best Actress category, with Olivia Colman toppling Glenn Close and Lady Gaga for the gong, thanks to her work in The Favourite.

Meanwhile Rami Malek, as expected, took out the Best Actor award for his portrayal of the late, great Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody.

Green Book took out the night’s highest honour, Best Picture, which is sure to cause a stir over the coming days.

Overall, Bohemian Rhapsody lead all comers with a relatively small four awards, followed by Green Book and Roma, and Black Panther all with three each.

You can peep the entire list of winners and nominees from the 2019 Oscars below.
