Images of gritty director Zack Snyder‘s gritty reimagining of Batman and Superman keep trickling out. First, it was this gritty shot of Ben Affleck standing grittily by his Batmobile. Now we know what Gal Gadot‘s take on Wonder Woman will look like, courtesy of Snyder’s Twitter. Guess what? It’s gritty!

Some fans have already observed that Wonder Woman traditionally wears red, blue and yellow, while Snyder’s Wonder Woman looks a lot more like Xena: Warrior Princess. It’s a fair point! Until you factor in that brown is the colour of dirt, which is literally gritty. Another Snyder masterstroke!
It’s also been pointed out that she’s wearing less-than-practical high heels. It’s a pretty outrageous double standard, especially considering many of the same people had nothing but praise for Christopher Nolan’s decision to put Batman in 6″ pumps.
