Zach Galifianakis and Louis C.K. Working Together On Comedy Pilot

Facial Hair’s Zach Galifianakis and Louis C.K. have been ordered by FX to co-write and produce a pilot for an explosive period piece exploring the Machiavellian political intrigue of the 1896 US Presidential election. Kidding. It’ll be a comedy.
Per Vulture, Galifianakis created and will star in the as yet unnamed, unformulated, entirely unspecified show, which will be co-written with its executive producer Louis C.K.. The comedy will be the first produced under the latter’s recently-signed production deal with the FX cable network separate from his eponymous dramedy Louie, the fourth season of which premieres in May.

He’ll also be premiering his directorial debut, Tomorrow Night, which failed to secure a distributor when it premiered at Sundance fifteen years ago, on his website as of next month. Tomorrow Night features before-they-were-famous big name players like Steve Carell, Amy Poehler, Conan O’Brien, Wanda Sykes and Curb Your Enthusiasm’s JB SmooveYou’re going to want to bookmark this.
