Yr Old Faves Lano & Woodley Are Reuniting For The First Time In 12 Years

Hold onto your butts, comedy fans. This is huge news: Perennial Australian favourites and iconic comedy duo Lano & Woodley have announced they’ll be reuniting to tour a new show around the country for the first time in 12 years.

The duo – Colin Lane and Frank Woodley – last took the stage together formally in 2006 for their, at the time, ‘Goodbye‘ tour, before parting ways and embarking on successful separate solo careers.

But now the duo is getting the band back together for a new show ‘Fly,’ loosely based on The Wright Brothers.

The pair announced the new show in a video posted to Facebook a short time ago.

Lano & Woodley. Remember us. ‘Cause we’re back, and we hope you’re glad. We sure are! It’s been a while. 12 years. Wow. You know Usain Bolt? You know how he dominated sprinting in three separate Olympics? Well, that all happened while we were away. Is our absence from the stage somehow responsible for his extraordinary success? You be the judge. If you’ve never heard of us, or if you’ve completely forgotten about us, we can certainly build our relationship from here, but if you’re rapt to see us again, we’re rapt that you’re rapt. One thing’s for sure… our time away hasn’t made us any less stupendously stupid. Should be lots of fun!

The show is set to take in CanberraNewcastleAdelaideMelbourneHobartPerthBrisbane, and Sydney over the course of its initial run.

Tickets for the shows go on sale from 10am on Tuesday, November 21st, but there are pre-sales being slung out for thirsty fans from 9am on Wednesday, November 15th (that’s this Wednesday, for those of you playing along at home).

You can sign up to get pre-sale access from Lano & Woodley’s website right sodding now.

Get ready, pals! The Two Men are comin’ back!
