Some celebrity relationships are so innately powerful that they cannot be revealed to the public at large, as the revelation would so completely overwhelm the minds of the world’s population that you’d get a mass repeat of the classic head explosion scene in Scanners.
Enter human sunbeams Aubrey Plaza and Michael Cera, who dated for ages without anyone clueing on. Like a year and a half ages.
Plaza was talking on RuPaul‘s podcast when the discussion turned to Scott Pilgrim vs The World, in which both Plaza and Cera starred.
After RuPaul said he found Michael sexy, Aubrey cut in: “Oh, Michael. I dated him for a long time.”
“Now,” asked RuPaul. “Thinking back, do you think it was that thing where people are enclosed in a small situation where…”
Plaza interrupts: “Like animals in captivity? Everyone wants to fuck each other?”
Plaza confirmed they’re (sadly) no longer dating, but remain good mates.
“We love each other, and we’re still really good friends,” she told RuPaul. “He’s just a weird little freak, and we speak the same language.”
This story truly gives hope to weird little freaks across the globe.
