Unfortunately, the hashtag #savemarinajoyce is trending on Twitter again today as police voice their concerns for the popular YouTuber who apparently hasn’t been seen since July 31.

London’s Haringey Police took to Twitter to ask for help from anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of Marina Joyce.

Marina Joyce, a popular beauty influencer with over 2 million followers, was reported missing on August 7, but hasn’t been seen since July 31.

The 22-year-old YouTuber went viral back in 2016 after peculiar behaviour in videos and on social media had fans worried she was struggling with drug abuse, or was being held against her will.

Joyce returned to YouTube a year later to explain what really happened with #savemarinajoyce, claiming she was struggling with serious depression at the time, which was causing her strange behaviour.

“It hurts me to this day to think of all the reckless things I did that showed that I did not care about my life,” she said in the video. “Things that I would look back upon and feel so grateful that I am still alive. I lived in isolation of what happened to me, of people not understanding what I was truly going through.”

Her last YouTube video “How I Care For My Hair” was published on July 22, where she appeared to be acting normal (at least for a YouTuber who is usually a little quirky). She last posted on social media on July 24, and told fans to expect a new video the following week.

“Marina we are here for you whenever you are ready; we can listen, talk you through what help you need, pass a message for you and help you to be safe,” a post from UK charity Missing People said.

Marina Joyce is trending on Twitter again today, with more than 350,000 tweets about the 22-year-old’s disappearance. Unfortunately, many users were quick to make jokes and memes about the concerning news. Luckily, there were also thousands of tweets that were raising awareness without any insensitive jokes about the potentially dangerous situation.

Her boyfriend, an inactive YouTuber by the name of Brandon Mehmed has returned to Twitter to post two tweets since Marina’s disappearance.

Out of respect for Marina and her family, I’m not going to speculate about what could be going on. I’m just hoping Marina Joyce is found safe and well, and gets any help she may need. Please contact Missing People if you have any information regarding Marina’s whereabouts.
