Your New Fave Podcast: ‘Poo Tales’, By An Ex-Hamish & Andy Producer

According to ex-Hamish & Andy producer Danny O’Grady, everyone has a poo story, and they all deserve to be heard.

He created the smelly podcast ‘Poo Tales’ after he began teaching a podcasting course at the Radio Training Institute in Melbourne and felt a bit shit that he didn’t actually have one himself. His ‘passion for storytelling’ and belief that all poo tales ‘have big endings’ (even if they start boring) led to the creation of Poo Tales
His 2 year stint with Hamish & Andy as a producer taught him about the merit of high production value:
“My production chops were certainly boosted by my tenure with H&A and I’ve carried that into this podcast. Poo Tales will use a high production value to super enhance the stories people share.” (Thus, ensuring that Poo Tales will have the highest production value of any poo-related podcast in the world, we guess.)
O’Grady says that the reception has been wonderful so far, saying,
“Anytime I’ve had the courage to mention I’m doing a podcast all about poo stories, people get strangely excited and usually launch into a poo tale immediately. So very positive and after 3 days the podcast is sitting in the ‘New & Noteworthy’ Comedy section on iTunes which I’m very happy about.”

“My hope is that Poo Tales becomes the platform for people everywhere to share their poo stories – there’s so many hilarious and graphic tales out there that traditional broadcasters (commercial radio) simply can’t touch. Poo Tales will embrace those stories with open arms and share the brown love everywhere.”
If you’d like to listen to the first episode, filled with stories titled with delightful monikers such as ‘Falls Festival Fail’, ‘Booty Call Bruce (Freddy)’, ‘Bog Roll Sundae’, ‘Definition: Upper Deck’, and ‘Jane’s Exam Shame’.
New episodes will pop out every Sunday night, ready to make you shit yourself laughing on your Monday morning commute.
