You Can Cop Insane Monstars Jordans For The ‘Space Jam’ 20th Anniversary

AUTHOR’S NOTE:
It is actually against the law to read this story without first clicking play on the below video. It is the law.

Y’ALL READY FOR THIS?
It’s the 20th anniversary of ‘Space Jam’ this year (Yes! 20 years! You are getting older!), and many have been disappointed that ‘Space Jam 2′ has seemingly just been forgotten about
But luckily, the Jordan Brand has come through for us. They’ve laid down heavy groundwork for a range of ‘Space Jam’ Jordan sneakers and clothing out soon, that are particularly designed with the Monstars in mind.
Check this out:
The Jordan Brand allegedly wants to tell the never-before-told story of the film’s iconic antogonists, the Monstars
Whitney Chapman, Jordan Brand‘s VP said this:
“The story is going to centre around the Monstars coming back. They’re going to be seeking revenge for the 1996 loss to the Tune Squad.”
The huge collection includes ‘Space Jam‘ colourways of the IX and XI, the two signature sneakers that were featured in the OG film.
And holy shit, it looks like they’ve actually released replica shoes of the ones that Michael Jordan was actually wearing in ‘Space Jam’.
Jordan Brand Creative Director David Creech says:

“We were able to get from Warner Bros. the O.G. shoe Michael wore in the film.

We were able to re-engineer the patent leather to actually be the exact specifications of what was done 20 years ago.”
But if you’re not into the 90s vibes, don’t stress – Jordan Brand are also dropping a ‘Space Jam’ colourway of a more recent signature model, the XXXI:
There will also be apparel to further feed your insatiable hunger for 90s nostalgia; including the original Tune Squad jersey, galaxy print tees, and more subtle products like a coaches jacket featuring the ‘Hamlet’-inspired rabbit skull that Bugs Bunny holds up in one scene.
HUGE.
Some of the collection is available now on the Nike AU store; no word just yet on whether the full collection will be available to us humble Aussies (who, may we remind Jordan, also enjoy the time to slam now, if there’s a real jam goin’ down): http://store.nike.com/au/en_gb/pw/jordan-holiday-collection
