WTF Kama Sutra Released As Audio Book

Don’t you just wish that when everyone else is reading their Jane Austen classics and Stieg Larsson crime thrillers on the train, you could just whip out your edition of Kama Sutra without the leering, judgmental eyes of others falling on you? Rest assured, now there’s a way you can, without looking like a complete nympho or – just as compromising – an amateur.

The Indian Hindu guide, which has been around for some 1600 years, will now be available as an audiobook. Which means you can download it and transfer it to your iTunes, for easy-listening – making it more accessible and portable than ever.

British publisher Beautiful Books will soon release the version online, which is narrated by UK actress Tanya Franks (of Eastenders, Ashes to Ashes and Skins).

Described as a ‘philosophy’, Kama Sutra has only innovated with time: bringing you a 2003 pop-up book and a 2006 idiot’s guide. The title even made number one pirated e-book of 2009 – outdoing Twilight by six places.

“Now there’s no need to feel embarrassed by reading a copy of this wonderful book in public – simply download it on to your MP3 player and liven up your commute to work,” managing director of Beautiful Books, Simon Petherick told The Guardian.
