The first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 has finally landed, and it’s a delicious infusion of 80s nostalgia.

Set several decades after the first film, Wonder Woman 1984 sees Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) dealing with villains Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) and Cheetah (Kristen Wiig), set to a backdrop of retro glamour, synth and malls. Actually, we have no idea what the plot is yet, because that’s firmly under wraps.
Director Patty Jenkins is back, naturally; she did blow it out of the water with the last one, with the film opening to rave reviews and earning US $821 million at the box office.
Also, somehow, Chris Pine‘s Steve Trevor is back for round two, which is somewhat confusing considering he died heroically at the end of the last movie.
