Woman Found Dead After Melb Buck’s Party Named As 20 Y.O. Natasha Rowley

The 20-year-old woman who was found dead in a hotel room rented by a group of men for a buck’s night has been identified by The Australian as Australian Defence Force member Natasha Rowley.

The woman had previously been identified as a serving member of the army, but this is the first time her name has been known. She had officially become an Australian soldier just four months prior to her death.
Victoria Police are currently awaiting the results of a toxicology test before deciding how to proceed further. According to The Australian, interviews with some of the men from the buck’s night by police have pieced together Rowley’s movements before her death, and authorities are not treating the death as suspicious.
Instead, the death is being treated as a case of misadventure at this time. The men interviews – all of whom are in the 20s and 30s – have been released without charge.
It is not publicly known what transpired between when Rowley went to the Melbourne hotel room at 2am and when emergency services were contacted by a man at approximately 8am.
Friends flooded Rowley’s Facebook page with messages of tribute and support. “To our new beautiful angel, you are always going to be with us! Rest in paradise Tashy! Forever my sister,” wrote one.
