Winners Of The Critics Choice TV Awards

Yesterday marked the first ever Critics’ Choice Television Awards – an award ceremony dedicated solely to the magic of tv! While going to the cinema is a wonderfully entertaining sensory experience there’s just something extra special about sitting pantsless on the couch and cramming Barbecue Shapes in your mouth while catching up with your favourite show, so we feel that tv is deserving of another source of accolades (the other one being The Emmys).

Mad Men was a big winner, taking out the gong for Best Drama Series, Lead Actor in a Drama (Jon Hamm) and Supporting Bra Actress In A Drama for Christina Hendricks. The major acting awards in the Comedy categories went to Tina Fey for 30 Rock and the weirdly overrated Jim Parsons of the seriously unfunny show The Big Bang Theory. And Modern Family won Best Comedy Series.

The Best Reality Series was a tie between two very troubling but infallibly entertaining shows about the lives of seriously fucked up people who need help: Hoarders and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
