If you watch the first 40 seconds of the trailer for Seth McFarlane‘s new movie, Ted you’d be forgiven for confusing it with another painfully sweet romantic comedy. It involves a chance meeting on the dance floor between Lori (Mila Kunis) and John (serial pants dropper Mark Wahlberg) followed by a photo-montage of the couple happily row boating and house painting to The Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition”. But do not be fooled. This comes from the same warped mind behind Family Guy after all.
At the 43 second mark we meet the character Ted, a profane teddy bear come to life via a childhood wish by John. Expect bong smoking, potty mouthed banter and sex simulations from the surrealist animated character voiced by MacFarlane. We cannot recommend it enough.
