Maybe you miss watching yet another of Wile E. Coyote‘s grand plans to catch the Road Runner go awry, or Bugs and Daffy finally agreeing on what hunting season it was.
Personally, my most nostalgic moment was waking up on Saturday mornings, pouring a massive mountain of Coco Pops and chucking on a video from Blockbuster or Video Ezy. Oh man, especially in winter — that unbeatable feeling of being wrapped up in a big cosy blanket and watching Goku fight Frieza for what felt like two years, or Charizard flamethrowering Ash for the 34th time… just oufff. In fact, I think a close second would have to be actually going to the video store. Remember how magical that was? Sorry to anyone born after 2000 but you will never truly know joy. Not like we did.
The rush, my god, the rush when you’d get the last copy of a new release — but then you had to pick like four weeklies because that was part of the deal and you only really knew for sure about three you wanted, so then you had to spend like half an hour looking for something decent because you didn’t want to just say ‘no thanks’ to a free rental like some kind of freak — but you didn’t want to just take home anything either. Do you see what we went through?
