After performing alongside Britain’s biggest boy band One Direction on Saturday Night Live in 2013, Will Ferrell is certainly no stranger to those precious tropical fish – The Hot One, The One That Quit, The Irish One, and the other two who nobody can remember, bye – so his reaction to Zayn Malik doing a Geri and quitting while he’s ahead was even more important than most of the world’s handling of the news.
At the premiere for his new film ‘Get Hard,’ Ferrell joked, “I’m surprised we’re still having the premiere, I think the Warner Brothers lot shut down completely, and flags are at half mast.” [Half mast is too high, show some damn respect].
On Zayn, Ferrel says, “He’s growing, he’s changing, he’s literally growing – he’s getting hair underneath his armpits and he needs to leave the band.” On finding a replacement—you can’t, says Kevin Hart—Ferrell offers up his services to the band: “I’m not british, but it doesn’t matter,” he says.
