OG The Hills star Whitney Port said she was “disappointed” by former co-stars Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari‘s decision not to return to the show’s revival. News of the show’s rebirth came last month when a whole bunch of the original cast appeared at the MTV VMAs 2018.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Port said it “would be so fun for everybody to get together and reunite and all catch up. So yeah, I was definitely bummed, but I totally understand the various reasons why they wouldn’t or couldn’t.”
By reasons, Port might mean how Conrad is the frontwoman of her titular lifestyle website, a designer, co-founder of The Little Market, and mother to beautiful little Liam, who just turned one back in July. There’s also Conrad’s relationship with former co-star Audrina Patridge, one which has not extended past the show. In an interview about the show’s revival with GRAZIA, Patridge said she was in touch with a lot of the star’s main cast except for Conrad.
Meanwhile, Cavallari has her own telly show on E! named Very Cavallari which just launched in 2018 so I doubt she’ll be leaving it any time soon. Alike Conrad, she’s also a bestselling author and founder of the Uncommon James lifestyle brand.
Although, Port’s still holding out hope the two will make an appearance.
As for the show’s big return, you can expect to see Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt back to their old tricks alongside Stephanie Pratt, Justin Bobby Brescia, Jason Wahler, Frankie Delgado, and Patridge.
Port also said her husband, Tim Rosenman, and son will be making an appearance on the show to remind us just how much time has passed.
“He’s not going to be a main person on it, same with Sonny. I don’t need him to be plastered all over the TV, but obviously being a mom is a big part of who I am.”
Old, I feel old… but also SO DAMN KEEN.
The Hills: New Beginnings is expected to hit MTV in 2019.
