There’s no way around it. Coronavirus 2.0 is an absolute mindfuck and it’s easy to feel a little lost. With forever changing lockdown laws, mask-wearing rules and keeping 1.5 metres away from your nearest and dearest, it’s safe to say, that we wish it were over yesterday.
One thing that people underestimate is how we feel energetically and as a practising psychic medium, this feels all too real and heavy for me. On a positive note, as we have learned over the past year, being at a standstill is also the perfect time to pick up a new skill or look inwards and this can be done using the art of divination.
If you’re thinking that this sounds like a made-up course taught at Hogwarts in Harry Potter, then actually, you’d be right. But it’s also a very old tool used by psychics/oracles to read current energies and look into the past, present and future, often helped along by Tarot cards or Oracle cards. You don’t have to be a witch or wizard to use these cards, just a willingness to be open, listen to your intuition and let go of what your brain may tell you that is logical. It does take practice and stillness, but with the right mindset, some meditation and journalling, they can really be useful.
To help you along in your tarot or oracle card journey, I have put together a list of tarot cards online in Australia that you might like to try out. Remember, when choosing your cards (whether they are tarot or oracle), it’s important to choose the one you are drawn to the most — even if it’s just because it looks good. After all, I always say that the tarot chooses you.
8 Tarot Cards to Buy
1. Rider Waite Tarot Deck
The Rider Waite Tarot deck is the OG pick of the bunch and is the most common deck for newbies and the most advanced of tarot cards readers. This innovative 78-card tarot deck was created in 1909 and revolutionised the spiritual practice. Featuring 56 minor Arcana cards, the Rider-Waite deck set the standard for nearly every tarot deck published after it. I personally started out using this deck — mostly because if you get stuck and need help interpreting messages there are millions of hits on Google for each card. However, remember tarot is best used with intuition, so it’s up to you to interpret it best. Don’t get bogged down in other people’s interpretations.

This is another deck that I absolutely swear by and have done so for many years. Created by white witch Lucy Cavendish (the one who taught me all about magic), this stunning 62-card Oracle Tarot cards deck features only positive and uplifting cards because according to Lucy, “There is always a positive choice, no matter what the situation.” Amen.
