Sink Your Teeth Into The New ‘What We Do in The Shadows’ Series Trailer

What We Do In The Shadows

Gather ’round folks because Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement‘s latest masterpiece, What We Do In The Shadows – the series – has another teaser trailer. As always, it’s a giggle and a half.

This isn’t our first look at the brand new ten-part series but it is the first time we’ve copped a release date – March 2019.

Unlike the original film, this series will be based in Staten Island, New York instead of Wellington, New Zealand. Although, it’ll still follow the lives of a bunch of vampire mates.

Things are still a bit hush hush but last year, at New York Comic Con, we were introduced to the undead Laszlo (Matt Berry), his partner Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Nandor (Kayvan Novak), and Nandor’s human servant, Guillermo (Harvey Guillen).

Then there’s a fourth immortal roommate by the name of Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch). As Entertainment Weekly reported, Colin is known as an “energy vampire”.

What is this, you ask?

Well, instead of munching on a human neck, Colin bores his victims to literal death. He makes them lose all will to live by boring them to death through the power of words.

I mean, that’s new.

As Waititi confirmed during the Comic Con panel, the show is part of the same vampire universe as the original film so fingers crossed we’ll run into some familiar faces.

Anywhoo, this latest teaser is only 30 seconds long but still…

HYPE, HYPE HYPE.

What We Do In The Shadows will hit FX this March. Stay tuned, I’m sure some Aussie network will sink its teeth into it sooner or later.

If you’re thirsty for some more content, there is this other 16 second teaser trailer.

Not to mention, Shadows also spawned another spin-off series by the name of Wellington Paranormal. This show sees beloved coppers Karen O’Leary and Mike Minogue (from the original film) take on all things supernatural. I’m talking demonic possession and weird crop circles.

You can catch season one of Wellington Paranormal on SBS On Demand, HERE
