There’s A Gender-Swapped ‘What Women Want’ Coming & It Has A Wild Trailer

For many, many, many, really rather unpleasant reasons, the less said about What Women Want the better. However, what is worth talking about is its long-overdue gender-flipped equivalent What Men Want, a real movie that now has a very real trailer.

The central plot points remain the roughly the same, or at least largely familiar to anyone who’s seen the original: Strong woman struggling to break through the upper echelons of a male-dominated world undergoes mysterious process and suffers mild head trauma and suddenly gains the ability to hear the inner thoughts of men.

Fairly straightforward, right?

This time around there’s the incredibly good Taraji P. Henson in the leading role, which can only result in good things. Elsewhere in the very-stacked cast there’s Tracy MorganRichard RoundtreeJosh “Bighead On Silicon Valley” BrenerMax GreenfieldPhoebe RobinsonPete DavidsonShaquille O’Neal, and even Erykah Badu as a tea-sipping mystic. Legit.

Peep the trailer below.

Does what it says on the tin, really.

The whole thing is directed by Adam Shankman whose previous credits include directorial work on A Walk to RememberHairsprayBringing Down the House. He was also, would you believe, a judge on the US So You Think You Can Dance from season three until season ten. Unreal stuff.

What Men Want is scheduled to hit cinemas in America on January 11th, 2019. No word on any Australian release date at this time.
