Wes Anderson fans, get excited, because there is absolutely no doubt about it: his new movie Moonrise Kingdom totally looks like a Wes Anderson movie – from the benign presence of his middle aged muse, Bill Murray, to the vintage film stock, yellow type, and his trademark lashings of off-kilter whimsy. The film is set on an Island in New England during the summer of 1965 and tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore — and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle.

Moonrise Kingdom‘s impressive cast also Ed Norton, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Bruce Willis and another repeat offender of Wes Anderson movies, Jason Schwartzman.
