Weird Couple Casting: Michelle Williams & Seth Rogen

Canadian cinema wunderkind Sarah Polley (Away From Her) is directing a new film which will star the winsome Michelle Williams as a girl who struggles with infidelity because of an addiction to the Honeymoon Period in relationships. We all know that person…

In the film, called “Take This Waltz”, Seth Rogen will play opposite her as the male lead and for the life of me I just can’t imagine them getting it on.

There’s some celebrities that you really dream of seeing “get together” in the biblical sense because they’re just so obscenely good looking, and unless you’ve got a big fuck off telescope and a box of tissues the only way you can view it is via the movies. It’s a shame then that casting directors get it so wrong sometimes.

Have you ever been sitting in a movie theatre and thought you were going to vomit?

Diane Keaton & Keanu Reeves – “Something’s Gotta Give”
While I adore both these guys in their own special way, seeing them suck face was like watching my mum make out with my brother.

Jason Biggs & anyone in anything
I’m sure he’s a lovely chap but he’s like that friend of the opposite sex who you never feel any sexual tension with – because the thought of seeing them naked makes you physically ill.

Sarah Jessica Parker & Hugh Grant – “Did You Hear About The Morgans”
Gross: old people.

Roger Rabbit & Jessica Rabbit – “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”
A girl like that would never go for a guy like him.

Kermit & Miss Piggy – The Muppets
Would you look at that body language? It’s as if they couldn’t get far enough away from each other. They did it all for publicity and that really translated when they were on screen together.

Mischa Barton & Benjamin McKenzie – “The OC”
Compared to Seth and Summer these two were cold fish.

Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidmaan – “Eyes Wide Shut”
Skin crawlingly awkward.

Juliette Binoche & Steve Carell – “Dan In Real Life”
Excellent tip from Sam in the Comments Section – absolutely stomach-turningly right on.

Seth Rogen and Michelle Williams do seem like a weird coupling, but the “Take This Waltz” cast gets even weirder because Sarah Silverman has signed on to play Rogen’s sister in the film. Maybe one of them was adopted? Her bigscreen credits includes “School of Rock,” in which she played a grating bitch. How apt.
