A century ago, the Dadaist movement exploded into life. It was wild, rangy, and random, with practitioners using found materials to compile deliberately nonsensical artworks. 
Dadaism was a reaction to the chaos of the modern world. If existence meant being subject to a ceaseless barrage of information, more than anyone could hope to understand in a lifetime, then why shouldn’t art reflect – or subvert – that confusing reality?

These fucking Garfield homages are basically the same thing all over again.

Uploaded to YouTube a lil’ earlier today by LasagnaCat, this slew of meticulously-crafted videos takes Jim Davis’ unironically iconic comic strip and smashes it with cultural detritus from the past 40 years.
