Get to know Australia’s greatest film of 2013 based purely on its teaser and assembled cast and crew members with the newly released teaser trailer for the film adaptation of Tim Winton novel The Turning.

The film, spearheaded by Melbourne filmmaker Robert Connolly (Balibo, Three Dollars and The Bank), examines the transformative “turning points” of the interconnected members of a small Australian coastal community and will be directed in episodic fashion by 17 Australian storytellers from varying creative disciplines. Time. To. Drop. Some. Names.

Actors Mia Wasikowska and David Wenham will make their directorial debuts, joining Jonathan auf der Heide (Van Diemen’s Land), Tony Ayres (The Slap), video artist Shaun Gladwell, documentary maker Rhys Graham, Justin Kurzel (Snowtown), actor and writer Ian Meadows, theatre director Yaron Lifschitz, Claire McCarthy (The Waiting City), Ashlee Page (The Kiss) and choreographer Stephen Page.

Cate Blanchett leads the cast alongside Hugo Weaving, Rose Byrne and Miranda Otto.
