Watch The Trailer For The Film Adaptation Of Gillian Flynn’s “Dark Places”

On the heels of the runaway financial and critical success of the film adaptation of Gone Girl, another of author Gillian Flynn‘s novels is about to hit the big screen in a big, mysterious way.

Flynn’s 2009 novel Dark Places – preceding Gone Girl by 3 years – is gearing up for its cinematic release, and a French trailer for the film has hit them internets today.
The book (and subsequent film) revolves around Libby Day – the only survivor to a massacre that killed her mother and sisters, and who as a child testified against her own brother. 25 years after the murders, a group of amateur investigators known as The Kill Club pick the case up, and discover all is not what it seems. Libby faces her own dark past and has to confront some uncomfortable truths if the case – and her brother – are to be cleared once and for all.
The adapted screenplay was written by Frenchman Gilles Paquet-Brenner, who also served as director.
As far as the cast goes, it features a fairly stacked list of names, including Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Christina Hendricks and Chloë Grace Mortez.
There’s no word just yet on any international release dates, but the film will hit theatres in France on April 8th.
