After a confusing and frankly anti-climactic election weekend there’s only one thing we all know for certain: Bill Shorten really fucked up eating that sausage.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that eating it from the middle is unsustainable, eventually leaving you with two separate sandwiches instead of the single one you began with, but here’s Bill – a full grown man – eating one like a complete amateur.
‘The Project‘ grilled him about it, as well they should have, but Shorten was adamant he made the right decision:
SHORTEN: If you look very carefully, it was a very crusty roll … Have a look at the edge of the roll, I’m telling you, you would need the teeth of a great white shark to bite that down.BICKMORE: Who eats a long roll in the middle, Bill?SHORTEN: You do if you’re looking for the meat, I’m reducing my carb loading so I’m just going for the meat.
Possibly more important than his sausage technique, they also tried very hard to get an admission of guilt on Labor‘s behalf over some questionable text message ads run by QLD Labor that purported to be from ‘Medicare‘.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull reckons the ads constitute fraud and has referred the matter to the AFP but Bill seems pretty calm and collected about it, have a watch:
