Watch The Powerful First Trailer For “He Named Me Malala”

Brace yourselves, people. This one’s gonna make you feel a whole of things all at once.

The endlessly inspiring Malala Yousafazi is truly one of the greatest stories of our modern age – and perhaps even of all time.
The Pakastani girl known for being shot by a Taliban gunman due to her promotion of the importance of education for girls and women in the region, she miraculously survived and has since continued her work on a global scale, earning a Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts.
Her story is truly unparalleled, and it is the subject of what looms as being an utterly fascinating documentary from the hand of Davis Guggenheim – the same man behind the Academy Award-winning An Inconvenient Truth.
He Named Me Malala follows Malala’s life, passions, and work – as well as that of her family; chiefly, her father Ziauddin.
If this extremely powerful trailer is anything to go by, this will be absolutely mandatory viewing.

He Named Me Malala hits cinemas from October.
