WATCH: The Full ‘David Brent’ Movie Trailer Is 1:59 Of Weaponised Cringe

The full-length trailer for Ricky Gervais’ latest project David Brent: Life On The Road has finally tumbled into our consciousness, and it is top-to-bottom exasperating. 
Not in and of itself, of course – the mockumentary looks just as tongue-in-cheek as the The Office, the legendary series that spawned it – but because Gervais is just so manically gifted at playing the snickering little gobshite. 
Of course, in Brent-land, the boring paper merchants Wernham Hogg are far in the distance – as are his 2003 co-stars Martin Freeman, Mackenzie Crook, and writer Stephen Merchant.
They’ve all been left behind, like  so many discarded toner cartridges, all so this negatively-charming troll can front his middling band as they go on tour. 
It’s great. It’s grating. It’ll hit Netflix in Australia next year, but you can steep yourself in British misery below:
