Palo Alto’s most celebrated human conceptual art project James Franco was the subject of a Comedy Central roast (that’s a showbiz term for sanctioned bullying) which aired in America last night and thanks to the power of The Internet we can now see all the things his famous friends bagged him out about.
Most of the punchlines revolved around how squinty his eyelids are, his ambiguous sexual preference and the solid 25% effort he gave during his widely criticised Oscars hosting performance opposite manic pixie high school drama student Anne Hathaway.
Featured roasters included celebrity friends Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari and Bill Hader but special mention must go to comedienne Sarah Silverman who scored a punchline twofer with “I don’t think James is necessarily gay or straight. I think he just literally can’t open his eyes enough to see who he’s fucking.”
