Not going to pretend I wasn’t a foolish high school student myself once – there were unrequited crushes and short-lived relationships and friendship breakdowns and totally inappropriate bickering about really minor school-related slights. And that’s not even mentioning the hyper-inflated sense I had that what I was doing and feeling and planning for was V V IMPORTANT. Like super mega important, mum, you don’t understand me.
Turns out it wasn’t all that important after all – and that super short haircut did not suit me.
