Alright, it’s official: the plush whip James Corden uses to wheel around guests on his behemoth Carpool Karaoke is, in fact, the celebrity equivalent of a circus clown car. The relationship between its v. famous passengers doesn’t matter any more compared to the fact that, holy shit, there are so bloody many of them.
Really, there is no logical reason why token vocalist Gwen Stefani should be wheeled around with George Clooney and Julia Roberts as the foursome barrel through Hollaback Girl. Actually, we take that back. If you were after an Ocean’s reunion, here they are, heisting our precious attention spans.
It’s essentially a pick-and-mix bag of A-list talent, and they bloody know it: get around that totally unironic rendition of We Are The Champions. It’s their world, and we just live in it. And listen to their attempts to harmonise.
