Sacha Baron Cohen is one of the most loved and hated comedians of our time – most people know his name, and everyone has seen (and can quote) at least one of his characters.
But – he wears a lot of costumes, and all of his characters have an accent that is vastly different to his own. He becomes Ali G, Borat, or Bruno.
Which of course means that he is virtually unrecognisable as himself – an attractive, well-educated British man.
So, during his interview with Conan O’Brien last night, he decided to take to the street in the US to see exactly how many Americans know who he is:
“I’m not real familiar with her” – Us neither man, us neither.
