There are cliffhangers, then there are point-a-gun-at-a-prison-guard’s-head-during-a-riot cliffhangers. Orange Is The New Black certainly knows which one it prefers, and the brand new Season 5 trailer begins to outline the aftermath of last season’s wildly tense finale.
The trailer promises to show Litchfield Penitentiary united in chaos after the death of a beloved inmate, with all of the various factions teaming up against a prison system that’s patently unjust. If you can find us a comedy with as much political bravado as OITNB, we’d like to bloody see it.
Expect to see your favs, and Piper, work their way through 72 hours of mayhem when the Netflix original returns on June 9.
