Watch: News Anchor In US Fired For ‘F*cking Sh*t’ First Week

Anyone who has ever experienced the first day of a new job (almost all of us) can empathise with A.J. Clemente, who was fired on his second day on the job for swearing. Who hasn’t murmured a couple of choice words while navigating the stressful ins and outs of a newly appointed métier? Unfortunately for A.J. Clemente, as a fledgling news reader on live television, saying “fucking shit” as the segment goes to air is a fireable offense. Go fuck yourself, San Diego.

Following the incident, the News Director of station KFYR-TV released a statement via Facebook announcing the termination of poor sweary A.J. Clemente:

To all of you who are writing in…I want to apologize for an incident that occurred prior to our early newscast this evening, when one of our employees used profanity on the air.

He did not realize his microphone was on, but still, that’s no excuse. WE train our reporters to always assume that any microphone is live at any time. Unfortunately, that was not enough in this case. WE can’t take back what was said. The person involved has been suspended until we resolve the situation. All we can do at this point is ask for your forgiveness, and I can offer my personal assurance that I will do my best to ensure that nothing like this ever happens again under my watch.

Free agent A.J. now joins the likes of Australia’s own Carrie “Cuntus” Bickmore in the Youtube news anchor hall of shame.
