WATCH: New Trailer For Steve Carell and Keira Knightley’s Doomsday Comedy

Here’s something the Mayans didn’t see coming.

Director Lorene Scarfaria (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist) has pulled together a brilliant ensemble cast lead by the laughable/affable odd-couple Steve Carell and Keira Knightly for impending apocalypse dramedy Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World.

The film centres around Carell’s end-of-days quest to reconnect with the one that got away, with the help of Knightley’s off-beat British neighbour as an asteroid named Matilda makes a one way trip toward Earth. Casual Fridays everyday, raging inebriation and promiscuity, and supporting roles from anyone who’s any good on television including Patton Oswalt, Connie Britton, Rob Huebel, Rob Corddry, Gillian Jacobs and Adam Brody (Seth Cohen! It really is the end of days!) all make for what looks like the best cinematic take so far on our own impending “untimely conclusion.” Now with no added global warming subtext.
