WATCH: New Rough Night Trailer Explains Why Kate McKinnon Has An Oz Accent

After watching the first Rough Night trailer we were left with lots of questions. For instance, ‘Where can I get my hair cut like ScarJo?‘, and ‘I’m glad Jillian Bell finally gets to be a part of one of those all-lady ensemble casts like Bridesmaids and Bachelorette‘, which isn’t so much a question as a statement, but a statement which gives rise to the far more interesting, ‘Why are almost all lady-ensemble films centred around one of the women’s imminent marriages?’

I don’t know the answer to that. But what I do now know is the answer to the most important question, ‘Why does Kate McKinnon have an Australian accent?’

The answer is revealed in today’s trailer for the slapstick buddy comedy from Broad City‘s Lucia Aniello and Paul W Downs: she’s ScarJo’s mate from when she did a semester abroad in Australia. Obvs.
The risque film, also starring Zoe Kravitz and Ilana Glazer, follows four college friends running amok for ScarJo’s bachelorette weekend in Miami, until Bell accidentally kills a stripper.
But boring, we knew that part already.
This time around we get to see more of the girls at college age as juxtaposed to now, ten years later, celebrating this milestone by popping bottles in the airport and driving a corpse around in a convertible. Just regular girl stuff.
We still don’t get a glimpse of supporting cast members: Ty Burrell, Hasan Minhaj, Demi Moore, Enrique Murciano and Karan Soni, but Colton Haynes looks a little bit of alright as the stripper who dies.

Rough Night is out June 15, and we are keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen.
