WATCH: Jade & Ryan React To Cheez TV’s Heart-Wrenching Final Episode

Jade Gatt and Ryan Lappin were essential figures in 90s childhoods across Australia, accompanying us in the morning with Cheez TV as they performed frankly baffling skits in between the syndicated anime we loved so dearly. Have you gone back and actually watched Cheez TV? It makes no sense. If you are older than 10 years old, none of it makes any sense at all.

They’ve spun a little bespoke industry out of their irrevocable place in the cultural consciousness of Gen Y, running a popular Facebook page where they host trivia and give away Nintendo 64 consoles, reminding you of a simpler and less complicated time.
They also sporadically do reaction videos of cartoons, trying fruitlessly to analyse things like Street Sharks through the eyes of an adult. A fraught project, as Street Sharks will never make sense to anybody but a prepubescent boy, for whom the concept of sharks somehow ‘swimming’ through a road is the coolest thing they could ever imagine.
Now they’ve done a brief reaction video to the 2004 Cheez TV finale, when the torch was finally passed on, and Australia’s teens bid a sad farewell to the world they once knew and sailed forward into an uncertain future. Watch:
Vale Cheez TV. There was never to be another like you again.
