The soothing commentary of Phil Liggett is one of the main reasons the Tour de France is one of the world’s favourite sporting events, and then of course there’s the spectacular alpine setting and freak-of-nature participants who spend around 21 days of nonstop racing over 3,200 kilometres of land. Most people struggle with a 45 minute step class, let alone a harrowing multiple-hour RPM on the edge of a cliff several thousand feet above sea level.

Nike’s new commercial for LiveStrong features the initiative’s founder and seven-time winner of the Tour de France, Lance Armstrong, and an insight into the head space of an endurance cyclist when on road. Nice stuff.
