WATCH: Indulge Your Childhood With The Trailer For The New, Huge Zelda

Hey! Listen!

If you grew up in the 90s, there’s a solid chance you are intimately familiar with The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It’s basically our Godfather trilogy. Hooning around Hyrule was a huge part of a lot of our childhoods, and I know several people who still crack it out for a round when they want to reminisce on a time before they worked 5 days a week in an open plan office.
There have been a number of solid Zelda games since, and Nintendo‘s E3 conference has brought the first trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – a fully open world Zelda game that looks a lot richer and more modern than the occasionally linear games of the past.
Have a look:
Looks nice. Every Zelda game tends to try a different art style, and this one looks influenced by Japanese art. Early hands-on from E3 attendees are pretty positive – according to them, it feels like a natural evolution of the series, and a much richer open world than has ever been in a Zelda game before.
The game is being released both for Nintendo’s Wii U console, as well as its upcoming, very mysterious NX, an upcoming system we know very little about.
Fire up that hype machine, I reckon.
