When behemoth reality franchise Survivor tried to launch an Australian version last time ’round, the budget was so small that producers literally had contestants sit still and raise their hand when they thought 30 minutes had passed and called it a ‘challenge’. Challenging indeed – for the viewer, maybe.
This time, Channel Ten‘s taking the reigns, and if the first look is anything to go by, it *hopefully* won’t be a giant total penny pinching cock-up.
Australian Survivor‘s first look video – on location in Samoa – shows snapshots of unidentifiable but very bronzed + buff bodies. They swim, they leap, they climb, they claim on national television to be all about ‘mateship’ and ‘telling the truth’, but you know it’ll be three episodes or less before they’ll start throwing one-another under proverbial buses. Bloody ripper.
Australian Survivor is ‘coming soon’ to Ten. Exact date tbd.
