Jennifer Lawrence is back as Katniss Everdeen, the so-called girl on fire and lone symbol of hope in the Dystopian fascist hell hole, Panem. President Snow (played with scarily self-contained malevolence by Donald Sutherland) isn’t reacting well to the news that Katniss and her pseudo object of affection, Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), have inspired an uprising with their unlikely double-victory in the 74th Hunger Games. To quell the serfs (they’re the ones dressed in the chic muted tones) Snow orchestrates a special Hunger Games for the 75th anniversary of the event which lands Katniss back in the arena fighting for her life. Will she make it out of there alive?
