One of Jimmy Fallon‘s weirdest, and most inexplicably popular recurring sketches during his tenure in Late Night is, without a doubt, “Tight Pants.”
The stupidly simple and magnificently dumb skit first appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon with Will Ferrell, as he and Fallon danced for the right to declare their pants the tightest in all the land.
When Fallon migrated across to The Tonight Show, the sketch came along for the ride. Jennifer Lopez somehow poured her famous posterior into a pair of impossibly tight pants to again chase poor Jimmy and his upstart trousers out of town.
The Tonight Show is visiting Los Angeles this week for the festivities surrounding the Grammy Awards, and apparently the tight pants made the trip with the rest of the crew.
Ferrell returned to the town of tight pants and his rightful throne as mayor, along with his tight-panted beau Christina Aguilera. Yet again, poor Jimmy had to be bounced out of town after one too many malt milkshakes at the local Piggly Wiggly.
Poor Jimmy. Maybe one day he’ll find a town to wear tight pants in and call his own.
