We all knew that Star Wars: Episode VIII was happening, but now we know it’s definitely a real thing that exists thanks to Disney and Lucasfilm, who shared the first footage from the film overnight.
As well as the below footage – which picks right up where the last movie left off – Disney also shared the names of several new cast members who will be joining Episode VIII.
Big names Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern have both been added – there is speculation that the former will play a villain, while the latter might be Rey’s mum.
Actress Kelly Marie Tran, who has appeared on Comedy Bang! Bang! and Jimmy Kimmel Live, has also joined the production.
Episode VIII is out December 2017.
